Eight Texans Placed On Waivers

Placed on waivers yesterday were cornerback Derrick Roberson, tight end Ben Steele, defensive tackles Thomas Johnson and Thomas Smith, quarterbacks Quinton Porter and Bradlee Van Pelt and receivers Harry Williams and Charlie Adams. Today, coach Gary Kubiak and general manager Rick Smith are deciding the fate of offensive tackle Charles Spence. He’s recovering from a broken leg from last season. He’s had two surgeries, but there are doubts that he’ll be able to play this season.
