Texans starting strong safety Jason Simmons will miss the rest of the season with a torn patellar tendon in his left knee. Simmons suffered the injury in the second quarter of Houston’s 20-3 season-opening win over Kansas City on Sunday. The 10-year veteran out of Arizona State recorded 47 tackles and one interception while playing in all 16 games with the Texans last year.
