RB Ahman Green’s Stepfather Passes Away

Edward Kenneth Scott, the stepfather of starting Texan RB Ahman Green, passed away Tuesday night at MD Anderson in Houston.  He suffered from liver cancer, and his condition became progressively worse after traveling with Green and his mother to Houston.  Scott was a central figure to Green while helping raise him since he was six years old. 

After practice Wednesday, Green talked emotionally about his stepfather’s passing.  We will all keep Green and his family in our prayers as they celebrate and mourn Scott’s life and death.  It must be a hard time for Green who credited his father for his incredible emotional and physical power that any Green Bay Packer or Texans fan already has seen.

Green said, “(I)f he were here he’d say don’t worry about them. Go play football. I know how he works. He taught me a lot of great things about life and that’s what I’m going to think about every day.”
