Schaub sacked by the Titans

Texans QB Matt Schaub is listed as day-to-day for Sunday’s game against San Diego.  Last week against the Titans, Schaub injured his left ankle before injuring his hip when he took a helmet-to-helmet slam to the ground from DT Albert Haynesworth.

The starting Texans QB, Schaub, practiced Wednesday, but backup QB Sage Rosenfels took most of the snaps at practice.  In response to the injury many media spectators have begun questioning Sage with a little more intent.  Also, the Houston Texans signed FA-QB Shane Boyd.

Boyd played for the University of Kentucky before going into the NFL to eventually play with Tennessee, Pittsburgh and Arizona.  Boyd should backup Rosenfels if Schaub does not play Sunday.  Ex-Texans QB Jared Zabransky did not fill the backup quarterback role because the team and him had two different paths planned.
