Texans GM Calls Florence Punishment Disappointing

Matt Schaub lies on the ground after taking a helmet-to-helmet hit by San Diego Chargers' Drayton Florence

San Diego cornerback Drayton Florence is being fined 15-thousand-dollars for his hit on  Texans quarterback Matt Schaub, which the Texans general manager says is disappointing.  Florence is not being suspended.  As Texans GM Rick Smith puts it, the punishment “doesn’t appear to fit the crime” since the Texans have lost their starting quarterback because of an illegal blow to Schaub’s jaw.  Doctors say Schaub received a concussion when Florence hit him in the second quarter of last Sunday’s game against the Chargers.
