CB Robinson for Out for Season

The Texans beat the Raiders Sunday, but they lost their best defensive player when CB Dunta Robinson fell to a knee injury that will end his season with the Texans.  This injury shakes up a secondary that needs to improve for a big test after their bye week versus a solid Saints passing game.  Saints QB Drew Brees is getting back on track and threw 35 passes for 445 yards and three TDs against the Jacksonville Jaguars.  WR Marques Colston pulled down 10 grabs for 159 yards.  RB Reggie Bush had 7 receptions for 43 yards and 1 TD.  The Texans need to make roster adjustments to be prepared for an all-out Saints offense that could amount major yards.

Dunta Robinson’s injury means DB Petey Faggins and CB Fred Bennett will be the Texans’ starting corners.  Faggins was attacked through the air many times after Robinson went down, but he managed to keep his composure.  Once, Jerry Porter busted through Faggins arm tackle and flew by two more Texans while heading up field, but Faggins kept with the play and tracked Porter down before he could score a TD.  Fred Bennett played well too although he went down in the first quarter after landing a big hit on WR Ronald Curry.   Bennett returned and had 2.5 tackles and one interception on the day.  S Von Hutchins, in zone coverage, made an interception when he overtook Raiders QB McCown’s pass.  He could be moved to a CB spot while his backup S Will Demps is getting more adjusted to the defense.  It will be interesting to see what roster moves the Texans before they meet the Saints in Houston in Week 11.
