Weary Suing Police Following Taser Incident

A member of the Houston Texans is suing Houston police after a Taser incident during a traffic arrest.  Fred Weary accuses officers of excessive use of force, unlawful arrest, and racial profiling.  The 30-year-old offensive lineman was shocked with a Taser during a traffic stop last year.  Police say Weary failed to comply with officers’ demands.  Charges against Weary were later tossed out.

One Response to “Weary Suing Police Following Taser Incident”

Don’t feel along my son (a black man also) was tasered in a charge of mistaken identity, he was tasered 7(seven) times. Granted my son has been in trouble before and on parole (all the more reason he is picked on). Now he is charged with “Assault of a police officer”, how convenient. When he was being tasered, as my son said, I am not sure where or which direction my hands went and if his hand went in the direction of the officer, it was not intentional. This is happening far too much among our race. I am truly interested in the outcome of this case. They cannot continue to get away with this. It is always their word against ours and it’s so unfortunate that society and those affiliated with the law feel these guys (cops) are above the law and they don’t even lie or commit any wrong doing. What a joke. They have gotten away with brutality against us far too long. Please continue to pursue this and I will be praying for a favorable outcome on the behalf of we as black people.

I would like to ask who you are using for your lawyer in this case if you don’t mind.

    Kindest Regards,

    Ms. Williams
