Texans Looking for QB, O-Line Help

Houston Texans head coach Gary Kubiak

The Houston Texans, technically, are the most injured team in the National Football League at the moment – 16 players are on the injured reserve list.  The positions that they are hurting at the most?  Quarterback and the offensive line, specifically center and guard.  so one can assume that Houston is scrambling around to fill those positions.

They plan on signing guard Mike Brisiel from the practice squad to the active roster some time this week, and probably re-sign center/guard Drew Hodgdon, who spent two seasons with the Texans before being cut August 31.  They will fill the roster spots of G Fred Weary (leg) and G/C Chris White (knee), who are headed to the IR list.

QB Matt Schaub, whose arm is in a sling Monday, and running back Ahman Green are possible candidates for the IR, but Texans head coach Gary Kubiak remains hopeful that both will play some time this season.  But no matter who replaces who at these positions, they will have their hands full when they host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who happen to have the 5th-best defense in the NFL.

Kubiak should let AGreen stay on the roster. You got guys dropping like flies and until Green is truly unable to play this whole season do we put him on the IR. He can provide a helpful hand later this season(still got 3 weeks left) if Dayne or Eche goes down.
