Kubiak Going For Gibbs Again

Texans coach Gary Kubiak is trying to hire one of his mentors to be his assistant head coach.  Kubiak tried once before to hire Alex Gibbs, considered one of the best line coaches in the history of the NFL, but couldn’t come to terms.  Kubiak says he learned how to be a coach from Gibbs.  Now Kubiak wants him to replace Mike Sherman, who’s moved on to be head coach at Texas A-and-M.  The 66-year-old Gibbs has tried to retire twice, but keeps getting called back to coach games.  Kubiak says Gibbs would not take on the duties of offensive line coach or offensive coordinator.
