Rhodes Could be in as Early as Today

The Texans are expecting to sign veteran NFL coach Ray Rhodes as soon as today. Texans coach Gary Kubiak says Rhodes’ 27 years’ worth of wide-ranging experience will be a major boost to the team as a defensive coach. The 57-year-old Rhodes has five Super Bowl rings for his work as defensive assistant for San Francisco, and he spent five years at Philadelphia and Green Bay. Rhodes’ experience will augment the years of experience legendary coach Alex Gibbs brings to the team as assistant head coach for offense. Gibbs was lured from retirement and started work for the Texans Monday.
