Posted in Don’t expect the Texans to get caught up in a frenzy of free-agency signups this week. Free agency opens at 11 p.m. today, but coach Gary Kubiak says the team will probably spend the next few days concentrating on their own unrestricted free agents. The deadline is today for signing restricted free agents, and Kubiak expects that to be wrapped up quickly, but the Texans don’t expect to tender restricted free agent Jerome Mathis, who’s had some brushes with the law recently.
