Kalu and Texans Come to Terms on a Deal
Posted by Jesse Rios on March 19th, 2008 filed in NewsThe Texans re-signed unrestricted free agent DE N.D. Kalu to a one-year contract to rejoin the Texans D-Line that vastly improved since he joined the team in 2006. The 6′3″ 265lbs, 32-year old Nigerian-American player is back and ready for action. Last season, he played behind Anthony Weaver in passing situations and finished last season with 13 tackles, three sacks, and one pass deflection in 15 games played. He also played with a broken hand and cast for the majority of the first half of 2007. And besides his all out endurance, Kalu was an inspiring leader for the Texans’ up and coming powerhouse defensive line.
