QB Gray to Visit Texans Sunday
Posted by Jesse Rios on March 19th, 2008 filed in NewsFormer Jacksonville Jaguars QB Quinn Gray will visit the Houston Texans on Sunday according to a league source. The free agent QB Gray played behind Jags QB David Garrard last season, and if he decides the Texans are in his future, he will compete for the backup job with the proven QB Sage Rosenfels. According to Texans management, Matt Schaub already has the starting job set in stone, but Quinn may have a chance for playing time as Schaub has begun a history of injuries for the Houston Texans since his first season with the team in 2007.
Last month, there were rumors that the Vikings were very interested in dealing their third round pick for Rosenfels, but the Texans wanted a second rounder. But if the Texans acquire Gray, then there may be new life to the rumor if the Vikings are still interested.
