I must admit I just started watching the Texans last year. I was really impressed with Rosennfels and the team. I don't believe Gray is anywhere near the talent that Rosenfels is. I watched both teams because of my fantasy team. Your really taking a chance on Gray.

agreed. rosenfels is a valuable backup. i think he can definitely throw the football just as good as schaub, and he already knows the system better. he led the texans to some major wins and made some big plays last year. he was glorious in that close game against the titans and he tore up jacksonville. he has definitely proven his worth with the organization. if the texans can get a 2nd or high 3rd round pick for him, then i would agree to trade him. but anything lower than that would not be worth it; he's a valuable backup because he can virtually replace schaub. besides his picks last year, he played well. and is gray that good? he destroyed our secondary in last year's game but can he replace rosenfels as the backup spot? we know schaub is going to get injured at some point in time this season.

Smithiak wants 3 QB depth, and if the Texans get rid of Sage they better know for sure that Schaub isn't going to get hurt like he always does.

Gray's small, 1-yr deal doesn't warrant trading away Sage. Sage still has 2 yrs and is a suitable backup in Kubiak's system. Plus, getting rid of him will cost any team a 2nd or 3rd&4th rounder in April's Draft for sure.

As a Texans fan, I still want Sage playing for us because he can make most of the throws and knows the system. Getting rid of him is getting rid of at least 4 wins out of 5 games if Schaub goes down (ie last season w/ only loss coming to Colts).
