Dunta’s Still Eying Midseason Return

The Dallas Morning News reported Thursday that Houston Texans defensive leader and veteran cornerback, Dunta Robinson, is “ahead of schedule.” The paper stirred up Robinson’s goal to get back on the field, and although the elite corner isn’t quite sure of his return date, he’s feeling better as time progresses.

“When I was laying on that (training) table a couple of months ago, I never thought I’d be out here running around in April the way I am now,” Robinson said. “It feels good but I can’t get ahead of myself. There’s still a lot of work to be done.”

Coach Kubiak commented on Robinson’s progress as well. “He’s very determined to get there quicker than people think he can,” Kubiak said. “You never know. He’s a worker.”
Robinson’s freak injury forced his ACL tear and hamstring to rip from his bone. The veteran cornerback says he’s ahead of schedule, but he knows more work’s to be done before he gets back in the game. But to Dunta, that’s just more of a drive to work harder.

“I feel like an outcast, like I’m on the outside looking in,” he said. “I just want to be out here so bad. I want to run around with the guys. Those are the things that push me a little bit harder to get back.”

Don’t worry Dunta, Texans fans are just as, or maybe more, eager to see you on the field and help rack in some W’s for them Texans.
