Posted in The Texans and quarterback Matt Schaub are thinking about protecting the ball as they get ready to start the regular season this Sunday against the Steelers. Schaub says he knows he has to protect the ball and not force it. Meanwhile, head coach Gary Kubiak says they keep emphasizing it, letting people know they need to protect the football. He adds that it’s something that has been focused on since training camp. Last year, the team had at least one turnover in all 16 games, finishing with a minus-13 turnover margin, ranking next to last in the league.
