The Houston Chronicle reports that Bob McNair says there was no secret meeting between he and NFL Commish Roger Goodell
Texans owner Bob McNair, kicker Kris Brown and former tight end Mark Bruener lashed out at a lawsuit that accuses them of collusion in the battle between the NFL and the NFL Players Association over a new collective-bargaining agreement. McNair, Brown and Bruener denied allegations in the lawsuit filed by Mary Moran, director of human resources for the NFLPA who is on administrative leave, that they were involved in a secret meeting with commissioner Roger Goodell and union executives. Moran charges that Brown, the Texans’ alternative player representative to the union, and Bruener, a member of the NFLPA executive committee, joined with other union members in disclosing confidential union information in the secret meeting with Goodell and McNair. “That’s false and outrageous,” McNair said Wednesday.
