Posted in The Houston Chronicle says that Andre Johnson could be fined for the fight the Texans and Titans were in last week:
When the NFL watches tape of the Texans’ sideline fight with the Titans, players from both teams could be fined, including Andre Johnson and cornerback Cortland Finnegan. “I think the thing kind of got going when Andre and Finnegan were going at it,” coach Gary Kubiak said. “They go at it every time we play. They go at it every snap. They’re very competitive, and they’re both great players.”
Fined? Both players need to be heavily fined ($250,000) AND suspended four games. The league should send a strong warning to these two and the rest of the NFL that this kind of gangster behavior is inappropriate and will not be tolerated on the field. If those two want to go at it after the game when the cameras are off then have at it. My son an daughter should not have to be subjected to that nonsense. So much for a family friendly game!
Cry me a river northcott, this is an aggressive and competitive sport. When adrenaline and emotions are high human beings are going to, naturally, respond with drastic measures. Granted they are “Professionals,” and should act accordingly, however you should not discount the fact that these individuals are entitled to a certain level of human error. They should be fined a reasonable amount for their mistake. I wish that I could fine you for your comment. lol. If you dont want your kids to be exposed to such “Gangster behavior” then maybe you should watch figure skating or golf… Just a suggestion.
