Texans D-Linemen Shed Weight

The Houston Chronicle reported that the Houston Texans’ starting defensive linemen have lost a combined 59 pounds during this offseason. The weight loss is an after effect to each player’s offseason workout program and Strength and Conditioning Coach Cedric Smith’s current program for the D-Line.  Reportedly, DE Mario Williams lost ten pounds, DT Shaun Cody lost four pounds, DE Antonio Smith lost 13 pounds, and DT Amobi Okoye lost 32 pounds conditioning twice a day this offseason with his younger sister.  The Texans coaching staff are not worried because the weight loss shows the effect of the starting linemen’s initiative and hard work.
