LaCanfora: Texans Ship Out RB Ryan Moats

Jason La Canfora of NFL Network and NFL.com just threw up on his Twitter that the Texans have released running back Ryan Moats, who played in 14 games last year.

Texans released RB Ryan Moats today. He played 14 games and started 2 last season. More upcoming on NFL.com

Moats had spent the last two seasons with the Texans, and in 2009 ran for 390 yards and four touchdowns on 101 carries. He also caught 13 passes for 106 yards and a score in 14 games.

In 38 games over four NFL seasons with Philadelphia and Houston, Moats has rushed 204 times for 831 yards and eight touchdowns.

The team also came to terms with defensive tackle Earl Mitchell, a third-round pick in the 2010 draft.
