Okam Pleased with Horns and Big 12

Last week the Houston Chronicle reported that Houston Texans DT Frank Okam, a former Texas Longhorn on the 2005 National Championship team,  is pleased that the Horns and the Big 12 will stay intact, for the most part.

“I used to look forward to having that OU game in Dallas every year and playing the Aggies every year,” Okam said. “Now that we know that that’s still going to happen, it’s a good deal.”

Last week the Horns, Aggies and Sooners all decided to stay and keep the Big 12 intact instead of disbanding the division whereby Texas and Oklahoma would leave for the PAC-10 and Texas A&M would hope for a shot in the SEC. Only two Big 12 teams left the division: Colorado and Nebraska.
