Cushing Returns Home for Olsen Youth Football Camp; Tougher than Ever

Houston Texans linebacker and 2009 Defensive Rookie of the Year Brian Cushing returned back home to New Jersey where he took part in Greg Olsen’s youth Basics Football Camp.  Art Stapleton from NewJersey.com reported that Cushing didn’t go back to restore his image, but rather to get back together with his friend, current Chicago Bear tight end Greg Olsen, and to inspire the 200 campers, 8 to 15, who were present at the camp and who also look up to hometown heroes like Cushing and Olsen.  With Stapleton, Cushing did field questions concerning the steroids, his denial of taking them and what’s in store for the future:

“I’ve realized I’m a lot tougher than I ever thought.  I’ve always imagined the worst possible situations with stuff; you always envision something bad happening, no matter what it is, and then you have to respond.”

“I’m just hungrier, more dedicated and stronger mentally now more than ever.  I personally believe there’s a reason for everything.”
