Williams Responds to McNair’s Comments on Lack of Intensity

NBC Local 2 Houston’s Sports Sunday reported that Mario Williams responded to Bob McNair’s last week’s comments about Mario lacking Cushing and Pollard like on the field intensity:

“I don’t need anybody to tell me that, so it doesn’t matter to me. That’s no disrespect to anybody that says that, but I don’t need anybody to tell me that. I know I need to get things together and get it going.

In comparison to Cushing and Pollard, there’s no question that Mario does not carry the same intensity, passion and determination in the game.  Yet, Mario is a top notch athlete capable of taking over a game.  Its a good sign at least to see that Mario knows he needs to get “it going.”
