Texans Work Out Offensive & Defensive Players

The Houston Texans reportedly worked out five running backs, two quarterbacks, two tight ends on Tuesday and three defensive linemen on Wednesday.  Additionally, the Texans, according to a source via the National Football Post, worked out several linebackers today.  The running backs that were tried out were Javarris Williams, Alphonso Smith, Clifton Smith, Chris Jennings and Louis Rankin.  The quarterbacks who worked out for the Texans were former Denver Bronco Tom Brandstater and former San Diego Charger Jonathan Crompton.  The tight ends worked out were former Philadelphia Eagle Rob Meyers and former Buffalo Bill Derek Schouman.  The defensive linemen worked out on Wednesday were Damione Lewis, Louis Leonard and Tank Tyler.  None of the players were signed by the Texans.  The Texans will have their Week 7 bye and play the Indianapolis Colts on the nationally televised Monday Night Football game, November 1st.
