Texans Make Week 8 Roster Moves

After DeMeco Ryans was placed on the injured reserve last week, this week the Houston Texans made some roster moves in order to improve defensive depth.  As noted earlier this week by Matt Loede, the Texans signed the 6’2″, 301-pound defensive tackle Damione Lewis.  The Texans also signed former 2008 fourth round pick and Tennessee Titan linebacker Stanford Keglar and promoted defensive tackle Malcolm Sheppard from the practice squad.  Keglar has 18 tackles in 25 career games, while Sheppard is a young, up and coming rookie for the Texans.  To make room, the Texans waived defensive tackle Frank Okam and signed defensive tackle Tim Jamison to the practice squad.
