DE Mario Williams Missed Most of Second Half, IR a Possibility

ANG Newspapers’ Jerry McDonald reported that Mario Williams missed a majority of the second half with a sports hernia, an injury that has been bothering the Texans’ Pro Bowl defensive end all season.  CBSSports.com reported Williams said on his injury:

“It’s a lot of soreness,” Williams said. “I tried to stretch it but even that is not the best thing to do.”

CBSSports also reported that head coach Gray Kubiak said the injured reserve list was a possibility for Mario Williams if he could not put in 25-30 plays a game.

“If Mario can play 25-30 plays (a game) we want him to play. If our doctors think that’s not possible we will do what’s right by Mario.”
