Texans Help Tackle Hunger

The Houston Texans are continuing to help out the city of Houston.  This Wednesday the Texans donated $500,000 to the Houston Food Bank in order to begin renovation to restore an old Houston building into the new Houston Food Bank.  ABC 13 Reports the building will be four times as large as the current food bank.  Houston Texans President Jamey Rootes had to say on the donation:

“In addition, various programming, our players being involved, our cheerleaders, our mascot doing a wide range of activities to address the problem of hunger, which is significant right down the street here in Houston.”
