Texans Sign Five to Reserves/Futures Contracts

The Houston Texans are busy after their disappointing 2010 regular season.  They release four defensive coordinators yesterday, spoke with Marvin Lewis and Wade Phillips about the defensive coordinator position, and now have signed five players to future deals.  The five players are wide receiver Paul Williams, running back Chris Ogbonnaya, center Cody Wallace, offensive tackle Cole Pemberton, and safety Antonio Baker.  Williams was a third round pick in 2007 that failed to make a roster spot with the Titans in 2009.  Ogbonnaya is a Houston native who played football at Strake Jesuit high school against my younger brother.  He played college ball at Texas.  Wallace was a fourth round pick in 2008 and played college ball at Texas A&M.  He was a practice squad for three different teams this season.  Pemberton was an undrafted offensive tackle who played opposite of current-Texan tackle Shelley Smith at Colorado State.  Baker played safety at Louisiana Tech and was signed to the Texans practice squad on December 27, 2010.
