Texans Were Reportedly in Trade Talks for Broncos OT Ryan Harris in 2010

Josina Anderson of FootballPros.com reported that multiple sources have reported that the Denver Broncos attempted to trade away one of their treasured tackles, right tackle Ryan Harris, last season.  The teams involved in the rumored trade talks were Oakland Raiders, Washington Redskins, Buffalo Bills, Chicago Bears and Houston Texans.  Interestingly, Houston already has a costly left tackle in the young, former first round pick Duane Brown.  The Texans’ right tackle, on the other hand, is veteran-presence-but-not-necessarily-skill-improving and media favorite, Eric Winston.  It will be interesting to see if Winston, who has a weekly spot on Sports Radio 610 AM during the season, takes to the airwaves to clear any bad press that may come out about him taking second fiddle in last season’s possible Texans-Broncos trade.  In 2008, Harris only allowed 1.5 sacks to mishap-prone quarterback Jay Cutler.
