Texans Need to Hit with Their Top Four Draft Picks

Texans Examiner Alan Burge points out that the Texans need to hit a homerun with their top four draft picks.

The Texans desperately need a draft like 2006 when Mario Williams, DeMeco Ryans, Charles Spencer, Eric Winston and Owen Daniels were among the first 98 picks.

The problem is that Rick Smith wasn’t around here then, and he has yet to preside over a draft that I’d call ‘above average’ since he’s been here.

So all we can hope is that Wade Phillips’ presence in the War Room is the catalyst to Smith’s best draft as a GM.

Prince is not worth an 11.I hope we can work a deal with the PATS (if the cba is reached)Tate and our 11 for their 17 n 28th.Aside for Peterson,Miller,Fairly and the D/T from Alabama, no one else is worth the 11th.Quinn looks good but we need so much on “D” an extra pick in the 1st round would serve us well!
