Foster to Be #1 in Busy Backfield

Houston Texans running back Arian Foster will be the number one running back ahead of Derrick Ward and Ben Tate next season.  Ward, who was signed last September, should enter camp as the back up to Foster; however, the former Auburn Tiger second round pick, Tate, should also be vying for carries next season.  Offensive coordinator Rick Dennison told ESPN:

“We’re going to give [Tate] the ball a few times and see how he does.  We’ll take some turns. Obviously, Arian’s [Foster] our number one guy, and then we’ll go from there.”

The addition of Wade Phillips at defensive coordinator should expectedly bring the offense more time on the field in the second half, something Arian Foster could be waiting for after the opposite occurred in nearly every game to finish out 2010.
