The Houston Chronicle reports today that DC Wade Phillips is not going to distract the team as they get set for the Ravens this Sunday in the divisional round.
Coach Gary Kubiak said today that defensive coordinator Wade Phillips’ interview with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Houston on Friday will not be a distraction to the team the day before the Texans leave for Baltimore to play a divisional round game against the Ravens on Sunday. “I look on it as a compliment,” Kubiak said. “It’s not affecting anything we do. The game plan will be in. We’ll be through with practice, and they’ll interview him Friday night.” Phillips is one of numerous candidates for the Tampa Bay job that became available when Raheem Morris was fired after three seasons.
