Texans linebacker Brian Cushing tore his ACL in the team’s Monday night win over the Jets in October. He had surgery shortly after.
According to Nick Scurfield of Houstontexans.com, Texans owner Bob McNair said Cushing is “ahead of schedule” in his rehabilitation but cautioned that ACL injuries take time to fully heal.
McNair added, “Brian was the emotional leader who’s captain of the defense. We’re excited about having him back.”
It will be tough for Cushing not to enter training camp on the physically unable-to-perform list.
