The Texans today came to terms on a deal with fee agent running back and kick returner Deji Karim.
Jason Bernstein, Karim’s agent, announced the signing Tuesday on Twitter.
The 5-foot-8 Karim tried out at the Texans’ rookie minicamp last weekend. He was a sixth-round pick by Jacksonville in 2010 and rushed 98 times for 290 yards in two seasons there. He also returned kickoffs and punts for the Jaguars.
Karim was claimed off waivers by Indianapolis in April 2012. He returned nine kickoffs last season, including a 101-yarder against Houston in the regular-season finale.
