Well at least it’s still pre season…

With 3 games in the books this season is almost upon us. Giving thought to the upcoming season there are still some things to ponder.
What we know: We know that if Matt Schaub has a clean pocket he can do enough to manage the game. He will never be the star QB that some guys are, but he can get the job done, if and only if the rest of the team helps him out. Some dropped passes this preseason are a little concerning, but that comes with the territory
What we want to know: We have yet to see what our defense will look like this year. Gone are Connor Barwin, Glover Quinn, Bradie James (thank god), and we still have no clue how Cushing will bounce back after his surgery. Aside from JJ Watt the defense fell apart due to injuries last year. So I’m kinda nervous how the chemestry will be early especially with…
What we don’t know: We don’t know when Ed Reed will be able to play and how much of an impact he will have early on. The middle of our defense got exposed last year in the first New England game and it was a trend that continued. I know they drafted DJ Swearenger in the second round and he has been getting high praise from the coaching staff. But so far they have been starting Keo…. and I am not comfortable going into the season with Keo as a starter.
What we will soon know: With the season starting in 11 days all the questions will be answered soon. After 2 straight AFC South championships this team is poised to take the next step, and I am excited to see the team get Dre that ring to help cement his place in Canton, but with so many questions only time will tell how far this train can go. Last season we got derailed in the playoffs against New England and Kubiak looks to show that his plan is what it takes to bring home the Lombardi.

  1. Andre Jack says:

The Texans look good…all 3 QB are ready to take the helm if called upon…Kubiak learned a lesson last year by not taking any risk of pre-season injuries to his “Go to ” guys…the D-Fence have yet to play with all the starters. Same with the Offence…so we have yet to see the full Starting Lineup this year….All systems GO…Texans Rule….
