Texans Waive 2013 Third-Round Pick Brennan Williams

Brennan Williams

Second-year offensive tackle Brennan Williams was waived by the Texans with the “failed physical” designation on Monday, the Houston Chronicle reports.

Williams, a third-round pick in 2013, did not play for the Texans last season after undergoing microfracture surgery on his knee.

The 2013 draft has mostly been a failure for the Texans.

Third-round picks Sam Montgomery and Williams, and sixth-round pick Chris Jones are no longer with the team. Sixth-rounders Alan Bonner and David Quessenberry have yet to contribute. Fourth-round pick Trevardo Williams was placed on the PUP list Monday.
