J.J. Watt Voted by Players as the Best Player in the NFL for 2015

Jacksonville Jaguars v Houston Texans

A jury of his peers tabbed Texans defensive end J.J. Watt the best player in the NFL in the NFL Network’s annual Top 100 poll voted on by the league’s players, Greg Rajan of the Houston Chronicle reports.

In the results revealed Wednesday night, Watt outpointed Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who finished second after trumping Watt in last season’s MVP balloting.

Watt is the first defensive player to be voted No. 1 in the poll’s five years. Watt, who finished 12th in 2014, won his second NFL Defensive Player of the Year award last season.
