Texans Release Quarterback Brian Hoyer

The Texans have released last years playoff starting quarterback, that being Brian Hoyer, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

Last season the 30-year-old was 5-4 in nine starts for the Texans, throwing 19 touchdowns, seven interceptions, and 2606 yards. He was the teams’ playoff starting QB during their 30-0 loss to the Chiefs, and was awful during the game, throwing four picks and going 15-for-34 for 136 yards.

    Hoyer is an above average QB – could be a mistake to let him go.
