The Texans are signing former Chargers starting safety Jahleel Addae, Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Addae went undrafted out of Central Michigan and played six seasons for the Chargers before being released this offseason.
Addae, 29, started every game for Los Angeles last season, recording 75 tackles, one interception and one sack.
He had 96 tackles two seasons ago for the Chargers along with a half-sack.
For his career, Addae has recorded 372 tackles, 4 1/2 sacks, two interceptions and two forced fumbles.
