After firing Brian Gaine on Friday, the Texans are quickly looking to fill their vacant General Manager role.
The team has shown interest in former Cleveland Browns GM Ray Farmer, and also now they are set to interview former Detroit Lions GM Martin Mayhew.
Pro Football Talk reports that Mayhew, who is currently working for the 49ers as their vice president of player personnel, is getting interest from the Lions and the two sides are set to chat about the opening.
Mayhew was a former NFL cornerback and has also worked for the Giants after his time as the Lions GM.
The Texans top brass in the ownership and management suites have had just as many issues as the guys on the field. Ultimately, the tone starts at the top and as such, the on-field woes will continue if the top of the pyramid woes continue.
