Texans Make Deal with Cleveland for Running Back Duke Johnson

At the end of the day, running back Duke Johnson got his wish and the Texans have another piece to their backfield.

The Texans today acquired Johnson in exchange for a 2020 undisclosed draft pick, word from Ian Rapoport from NFL Network is that the Browns got a fourth-rounder that can become a third rounder.

Johnson joined the Browns as a third-round pick in 2015. He appeared in 64 games with 10 starts. He registered 1,286 rushing yards and 2,170 receiving yards on 235 receptions with 13 total touchdowns.

The running back can be a proven backup for Lamar Miller, and also can be a very good pass catcher out of the backfield.

He had a career-high 74 catches for 693 yards in 2017.
