Texans QB Deshaun Watson to Skip Pregame Festivities of the World Series to Rest Eye

Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson will smartly step aside tonight and not take part in pregame festivities of game seven of the World Series, instead he will rest his injured eye.

ESPN reports that the Texans superstar QB was set to yell “Play ball!” before the matchup between the Astros and Nationals.

Instead after getting kicked in the face and eye Sunday in the team’s win over the Raiders he and the team decided it was more important he get rest.

With Watson taking a back seat, the Astros instead will give the opportunity to yell “play ball” to noted Texan Matthew McConaughey.

Watson is expected to be a go for Sunday’s game in London against the rival Jaguars.
