Texans linebacker Brian Cushing had surgery on Wednesday, stating on Twitter that he went under the knife to get his “patella cleaned up” and “knee scoped.” “Was about two years over due, time for rehab!” Cushing wrote. Also the team has hired former Cowboys assistant Reggie Herring, according to John McClain of the Houston Chronicle.

Texans Friday Injury Update
The Houston Texans revealed their injury updates today, and QB Matt Schaub, LB Brian Cushing, WR Andre Johnson and DE Mario Williams are all probable. TE Owen Daniels, LB Xavier Adibi, and DE Jesse Nading are out. Good new for the Texans, these playmakers have been limited in practice with injuries throughout the season.
