Today’s Houston Chronicle reports that franchised CB Dunta Robinson could be on the verge of a training camp holdout:
When the Texans report for training camp in a week and a half, don’t be surprised if Dunta Robinson is not there. You don’t have to believe it, but this is the fun part. Robinson hasn’t said he won’t be there. His agent hasn’t said he won’t be there. But it stands to reason that the fiery cornerback might miss a day or three. (And I’m thinking three will be about the max.) A small segment of fans will go nuts over his absence. As if D-Rob missing a day or two of the dog days of August, sweatin’ on Kirby, will keep the Texans from winning the Super Bowl. If Robinson doesn’t show up on Day 1, expect the Texans’ management, coaches and players to say it is not a big deal. Why? Because it won’t be a big deal.
