Despite not being happy with his contract, Texans star receiver Andre Johnson says he’ll rejoin the team after missing the first three voluntary practices. Johnson’s uncle and agent Andre Melton told the Houston Chronicle and Houston TV station KRIV that Johnson will attend Thursday’s practice after a productive meeting Wednesday with the team’s front office.
Johnson told KRIV that he decided his sitting out was not helping the team and that he hopes his teammates understand his situation. The wide out has five years left on an eight-year contract worth $60 million that included $15 million in guarantees.
