Johnson’s MRI Reveals No Damage; Pollard Fined $40K

Andre Johnson’s six catches for 149 yards on Thursay caught a lot of attention, and so did his brief locker room visit during the game.  Johnson retweaked his season-long ankle injury that was originally suffered in Week 2 against the Washington Redskins.  He had an MRI on Friday morning that revealed no damage on his injured ankle.

On the other side of the ball, Texans’ hard-hitting strong safety Bernard Pollard was fined $40,000 by the league on Friday for his unnecessary roughness penalty hit on Titans’ wide receiver Justin Gage.  On the hit last Sunday at Reliant, Pollard immediately pleaded to the referees that his hit was to the lower chest, not helmet.  The referees determined unnecessary roughness – leading with the helmet at a defenseless player.  The Texans face the Ravens at Reliant Stadium on next week’s Monday Night Football.
