The Sporting News writer and Houston Chronicle’s Texans beat writer, John McClain, reported after the Denver Broncos game that because Gary Kubiak wasn’t fired from such a horrid end-game performance, he’d likely be back next season. To add to the mix, NFL.com’s Jason LaCanfora has introduced rumor-like reports of the Texans and Wade Phillips uniting to get the defense under control. McClain wrote on Twitter Wednesday following Sunday’s Broncos’ loss:
“After the Texans lost at Denver, I thought (Texans owner) Bob McNair would fire Gary Kubiak. Now I don’t. I believe Kubiak will be back.”
