Paul Kuharsky of ESPN.com‘s AFC South Blog wrote that signing Nnamdi Asomugha would put the Texans in playoff contention, at least in his mind. Kuharsky wrote that although Houston wouldn’t be bold enough to sign the All Pro corner, Asomugha’s reasons in not picking Houston won’t be financial. ESPN‘s John Clayton thinks he would be a good fit for an owner who would paid for him and a defensive coordinator who’d be able to coach him. Clayton reasoned Asomugha could match up with Indianapolis Colts’ wider receiver Reggie Wayne, as well as assist in Mario Williams’ transition to linebacker in the Phillips’ 5-2 alignment.
