Texans FB/TE Casey tears pec muscle; Super Mario awaits his fate

Texans sack artist Mario Williams may have a torn pectoral muscle, Sports Illustrated’s Peter King reported on NBC’s Football Night In America.

Williams left Sunday’s 25-20 loss to the Raiders after sacking (fifth of the season) quarterback Jason Campbell in the first quarter. Williams did not return and is scheduled to undergo an MRI to determine the severity of the injury.

If it is torn, he will likely be sidelined for a couple of months.

In addition to Williams, Texans fullback/tight end James Casey has a torn pectoral muscle, John McClain of the Houston Chronicle reports.

In five starts this season, Casey has one rushing attempt for 11 yards, but has caught a career-high nine passes for 163 yards and his first NFL touchdown out of the backfield.

Free agent addition Lawrence Vickers is expected to replace Casey at fullback.
