The Chiefs released right tackle Eric Winston on Wednesday, a big free agent signing a year ago from Houston who didn’t get off to a great start in his new home.
Les Bowen of the Philadelphia Daily News reports the Eagles were one of the first two teams to reach out to Drew Rosenhaus, who represents Winston.
The other team to express immediate interest apparently was the Texans, who drafted Winston in the third round in 2006. He has been incredibly durable, starting every one of the 96 NFL games scheduled since he became a fulltime starter in 2007.
